A Rivalry is Born: Starring The Reds and White Sox

It was just a typical Tuesday morning and the birds were chirping, the sun was out, and the Hot Flash presented by the Hot Corner dropped episode 2 of Season 3. The Hot Flash has been a controversial, but yet successful podcast that has covered everything to fantasy baseball, sex jokes, and the XFL.

Coakland Blaze and Flash hosted the show and everything was as routine as routine could be for this duo. Then the White Sox questionnaire came up where they answered 5 questions based on the survey Coakland and Flash sent out. White Sox noted they want to win, they want a new commish, and they want to kill every commish that every existed. The one note that stood out was when the White Sox were asked who they want to beat this year.

The White Sox Replied with ease, but with a lot of force in 1 just 1 word. Reds. This left the podcast duo in shock as they were a loss for words and emotion. Laughter and anger was all released at one time and no one knew what to make of this. Reds owner replied, “I hope he wins”. Coakland responded to Flash and mentioned it would be funny if the two even played this year. I reached out to Commissioner, Sam Jordt about the schedule release and the possibility of the Reds and White Sox playing each other. Sam replied, “Schedule will be out shortly and will look very similar to last year. Unsure on White Sox and Reds.”

This leaves me with hope that we can see this rivalry take off as the Reds and White Sox played each other last year in week 9. White Sox won this game with ease as the Reds only scored 166 to the White Sox 315. White Sox scored the 5th highest points in the league that week, so this obviously meant a lot to the White Sox to perform well. If the schedule does say somewhat the same, we can see this rivalry continue in week 9 of 2020.

I reached out for comments from the White Sox and Kyle replied, “Ryan handles the voice for the White Sox.” Ryan has not replied. Overall, I’m hoping to see what this rivalry can turn into and we look forward to see what the Hot Flash presented by the Hot Corner can bring us next week.
