Sam Jordt, the commish is a busy man and in this intense time of the league, Sam has handed over the responsibilities of talking about the resolution of the White Sox vs. the league case.

In a shocking turn of events, the White Sox won the case and it never even had to go to a league wide vote. The White Sox and the Commissioner got into a heated argument this morning on whether the rules were stated fairly in the bylaws. After picking up much speed, this case moved to the Chief of Justice, Dave Handley, which then moved to the commissioners office and the trusted board members. After hours of deliberation, they ruled in favor of the Sox and the pre-draft only includes players from the free agent pool before non-keepers were dropped. In this case, all 8 teams have the opportunity to add players they have cut now knowing these rules. I sat down with Kyle Kinyon, Union Rep and owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Kyle was excited to sit down and finally discuss of what has become. 8 hours locked in the commissioners office and he was finally aloud to speak freely. I asked Kyle how they were able to keep it in house and not move to a league wide vote. Kyle replied, "The entire time we wanted to come up with a resolution in house within the board. It all starts with putting the right people in the right positions. I want to thank the entire board for their thoughts and input in this matter."

I then asked about a crucial step in this case and that was the Chief of Justice. Handley is a respected owner and member of this league and what he says has true merit. White Sox and the board pleaded their case and after much deliberation, Dave took the side of the White Sox, which Kyle stated was a big mark-up to vote in favor of the Sox. Kyle also stated that even though Dave was important, many people played a key factor into making the right decision. Kyle mentioned the names of Rob Prohaska and Sean McGinn to be a very big part of case decision and made sure that all the T's are crossed and i's are dotted.

The Hot Corner reached out to the White Sox Owner, Kyle Dillon as well and asked him how it felt to win this case. Kyle stated, "That's one small step for man, and one giant leap for this league...no further comments." Kept it short and sweet and I'm sure he is going to celebrate now with a nice tall glass of milk before bed! Back to Kyle Kinyon, I wanted to see how they can prevent such cases like this from happening. Kinyon said with passion, Ï would expect the wording in the bylaws to be more clear and concise." Kyle then stated that he thinks the Commissioner is doing a great job and works very hard for this league to make sure it is run smoothly and everyone is happy!

In my own words, I think the board and our fearless leader did a great job tonight of setting everything right again and making everybody happy! I hope we don't have to have any more tough cases, but if we do, we have a great group of guys working on getting the problem fixed!
